It's not Goodbye...

It's amazing to see how quick 2 years fly. literally. Spending time in K-class had its fun and interesting moments despite the competitiveness that drives me insane. It's really sad to see you people go, just hope you like the Haribo candies and have a good time in class chalet. :)

Just want to share some comments on 4Kudosians. :) Below are my first impressions and last impressions of each K-student and how my image of these classmates have changed over the 2 years, plus some other comments...

(Hmm, I don't think that there really is such a term called 'last-impression'...but it simply means of impression of you people since 6 Nov 2009. 'First impression' refers to what I thought of you since first day of school , 2Jan 2008...)

Shi Yi
First Impression: Lone Wolf, Highly Introverted
Last Impression: Imba freak, powerful debater, Enjoys bullying guys

Thank you for introducing me to Kalafina songs. You have really been an efficient treasurer, thanks once again, though it's a pity that your last job has to be given to Chih Siong. By the way, congratulations for achieving a GPA of 4.o. :) You should really go ask your dad to give you double the reward. :)

Wei-Square
First Impression: Tigress, Active participant
Last Impression: Good in judgement, logical reasoner, possess leadership but still a tigress and "dont-you-dare-mess-with-me"type, is angered easily

Without you, I'm quite certain 4K would be late for flag-raising a couple of times. Thanks for all that you've done to keep the class in order. :) I'm also really impressed at your boss-like control over the guys and how you cope with a freaking tight scheldule (NPCC, BSP, class-comm stuff ).

Fiona

First Impression: Introvert, Gentle
Last Impression: Still an introvert, Silent Worker

I'm not in a position to say this but...do speak up more often! :)
Does Wei-Square and Han Xi bully you often, or maybe in secret, it's the other way round? XD

Qian Ru
First Impression: Scientist, Dares-to-Try type
Last Impression: Humanities Enthusiast, Independent Learner, Self-Centred

Thanks for influencing me to slack less and work harder when we were deskmates. Just don't give yourself too high expectations for tests when your results are already extremely high. Also, do try to work along better with others, especially since you want to become a journalist. :)

Ella
First Impression: Joker, Happy-go-Lucky
Last Impression: Imba in the areas of Maths and Sciences, Physically Tough, Naturally Funny

Muaks I love you Ella!!! Kinda sad that we will now have to part but I'm sure we'll continue to keep in touch. On the other hand I will never forgive you for influencing me to read Fairy Tail and Reborn! My addiction and fanitism is beyond cure now... :) PLEASE can u give me some of your athletic abilities? I need them badly for next year's napfa.

Song Jia
First Impression: Never Serious

Last Impression: Class Clown, Optimistic, Mentally Frightening

I swear that even in the deepest levels of hell, your MBTI results is never INTP...It's just impossible...I'm sure everybody's image of you is someone who is forever laughing maniacally. Thanks for cheering the class up and making the classroom a lively place every now and then.

Teng Yan
First Impression: Introvert
Last Impression: Good Dancer, Quiet but Efficient Worker

You also didn't look like the type who would be able to dance until I learnt you are in CS Dance... speaking of hidden talent. By the way, Charmaine told me you are the prettiest PRC girl in 4K. :)

Wan Ying
First Impression: Relaxed Type

Last Impression: Cute, Artistic, Optimistic

Thanks and sorry for all the trouble in helping the class to buy cakes and prezzies for birthday babies and helping to organise events like class chalets. :) Your power of creativity is also a treasured resource of the class too.

Hui Jing
First Impression: Celebrity
Last Impression: Humanities-Imbaist, Possesses an awesome voice in speech and presentation

Are you going to be a news-reporter, lecturer or speaker? Cause you definitely have the right voice. Don't put it to waste...haha. All the best for getting into Greenpeace! :)

Hwee Chian
First Impression: Neat, Meticulous

Last Impression: Hot Chic, Language-Wise, Charismatic

Hey thanks for choreographing all the dances 4K took part in. Teachers' Day dances would not have been possible without you. :) I shall go listen to SHINee songs soon. Damn why do Korean guys have to look so hot?

Ying Ying
First Impression: Clique-ish
Last Impression: Langauge-wise, good blogger, has unique perspectives

I really enjoy reading your blog posts, especially the one on Michael Jackson and other miscellaneous stuff...from your blog entries I know that you have viewpoints that are different from average people yet make good sense at the same time. :)

Huang Cheng
First Impression: Serious, No joke type
Last Impression: Slightly clumsy, kind of cute

First and last impression of you really changed alot. Don't worry though, your degree of clumsiness will never match mine. Having Ella as your deskmate is fun right?

Huang Ching
First Impression: Introvert, very quiet, does not like crowds
Last Impression: Imba, Academic Inclined, goes along well with anybody

Hey you know, from Year 1 to 2, I thought you took Japanese as 3rd Language. It was only in Year 3 then I realised you took French instead. 0.0 Pardon my laginess... By the way, over these last 2 years, I think that Han Xi has influenced you greatly. Not a bad thing though :)...

Han Xi
First Impression: Bookworm
Last Impression: Artistic, Joker

You are a very enjoyable and funny person to be with. Thanks for teaching me how to play card games too. Next time do teach me your method of shuffling the deck. :) "They are intellectual games!" You 'pwned' Mrs Har! Great creativity you have too.. :)

Esther Lim
First Impression: Dilligent, Sociable type,
Last Impression: Language-wise, technological-savvy, rich 'tai-tai'

You are the only Dunmanian who would get to see cheques with $$ amount. :) Lol...
Thank you for bringing me, Ella and Esther Tan to bowl at the Singapore's Swimming Club. I had a great time there. :) Also, you have a great singing voice, there's really something wrong with those judges of Centrestage...

Charmaine
First Impression: Introvert, Quiet, gets bored easily
Last Impression: Good Counseller, Dilligent, Mature though acts like Song Jia sometimes

CHAR!!!!!!!! Thank you for always putting up with me and making me feel better when we were deskmates. It's also cool that you are the youngest in class but yet the most mature. Sometimes you can be really frightening when you turn into your high, extrovert self. Thank you for showing me those magic tricks too! :) You also have the most adorable ambition I have heard of (setting up a bakery and kindergarden)...all the best in succeeding! :)

Liu Xiao
First Impression: Clumsy, Keeps to oneself
Last Impression: Often in dreamland, Quiet

Sorry I didn't really get to know you much over the last 2 years but I think you are smart in some ways, just that people don't really know them. Hope you were not greatly influenced by Ren Jie, which is not going to be mentally healthy. You are also adorable in some ways. :)

Jovina
First Impression: Gets bored easily, Serious type
Last Impression: Highly Amusing, Kind of like a joker at times, a little clumsy

Haha first and last impression of you are very different. :) Thank you for sacrificing roomspace for our Project Work. The creative product was highly dependent on your effort. :) You are also kind of cute at times too. Good luck for H3 Music!

Samantha
First Impression: Hardworking
Last Impression: Very Hardworking, Scholarly type

Thank you for always being there for me whenever I was depressed by my results. Your words do heal. Like Qian Ru, you are also my source of motivation in mugging. Thanks for being such an efficient groupmate in the countless projects we have worked in, such as the LA film. :) You are very similar to Hang Yin too...

Yangge
First Impression: Introvert, Bookworm
Last Impression: Scientist, Dares to speak up

You are one of the few PRCs who are highly active in cheering or any other events involving class participation, teamwork etc. :) Sitting next to you during the school HCL EOYs stressed me out though. You have also shown me that the size of aperson's head dosen't determine intelligence. :)

Esther Tan
First Impression: Emo-ish, Introvert
Last Impression: Nocturnal, Caring, Highly Efficient, Swears easily

I once thought of you as someone who's always pissed and upset cause during the Year 3 Orientation you were giving that annoyed look...but now I thought of you as more of a caring older sister, though sometimes a sleepyhead. :) Project work is never a problem for you... speaking of quality and efficiency. Thanks for the countless stuff you have done for the class too, we really ought to appreciate your effort! :)

Teo Ee
First Impression: Meticulous, Dilligent
Last Impression: Dilligent, Joker, Caring

Our ever cute and caring chariperson!! :) Hey thansk a mole for saving my life during a HCL lesson (it's that day when I forgot to bring my textbook and I needed it deperately since I would be doing a presentation that day...you gave your textbook to me without sparing any consideration for yourself. Besides being such a kind-hearted person, you are also strong in areas of Humanities and Biology. :)

Vivyan
First Impression: Slightly Bitchy :)
Last Impression: Cool and Calm, sporting

I was very scared of you at the beginning though you were one of the first few friends I made in K-Class, and I'm still unsure of the reason why...You are also a nice person to talk to. :) You are also one of the few people I know who enjoy watching horror movies and scaring the daylight out of them. By the way Viv, hope you'll get to meet more guys who can play Volleyball, maybe in your new class next year?

Ruo Nan
First Impression: Clumsy, Keeps to oneself
Last Impression: Oddball, Slightly mentally unwell, Naturally funny

Hello Mama-san!! Even though your pervy ways are detrimental to our mental health, we still love you dearly. <3>

Xie Ying
First Impression: Nerd
Last Impression, Intelligent, Relaxed

From what I heard from Ying Ying, you are extremely smart and grab hold of learned concepts fast. Besides imba-ness in schoolwork you have singing talent too, which surprised many people in the class. It's okay to be obssessed with Jay Chou, even though Ms Lie disapproves of it. :)

Huiting
First Impression: Curious in Nature, Introvert
Last Impression: Calm, Optimistic,

Similar to Song Jia, you seem to smile alot in class, though sometimes your facial expressions can be very amusing. I also envy people like you you can score 4.0 GPA. :) Thanks for being my table partner during post-exam period. :)

Zuo Yue
First Impression: Serious type
Last Impression: Highly competitive, Imba, Dilligent

You were a great person to talk to, especially during flag-raising, but why did you have to abandon me and stand beside Ruo Nan instead? Lol just joking, but thanks for influencing to try to speak out and ask questions in class, even though I still keep questions to myself. You have been a great friend too, just don't give yourself too much stress in schoolwork. :)

Baxter
First Imrpession: Notorious, Bully
Last Impression: Slacker, Entertaining, Nice to talk to

You have hidden intelligence, just that you don't know it. You just have to work harder to achieve. Other than your sloth, you are sort of friendly and sporting. Also, thanks for making Maths lessons so much more lively as the class witness Ms Fang's favourite boy being targeted every now and then. :) All the best for Senior High!

Jia Chen
First Impression: Cool
Last Impression: Sleepyhead, Cool and Calm

I know that Ms Koh's voice never fails to drown you in sleep and even though you doze off in so many other lessons, you can still produce good grades, suggesting that paying attention in class does not necessarily have much of an impact...maybe not in senior high.

Jia Ren
First Impression: Clumsy
Last Impression: Language-wise, Road-Runner, though still clumsy

Next time please make space for me to join your group in Mousehunt. I'm still a pitiful novice. :) You are also one of the nicest guys I know in 4K. Even though you have the 'blur' look on your face, you are still the intelligent type. :)

Stephen
First Impression: Notorious, Bully (similar to Bax)
Last Impression: Friendly, Funny, Dilligent

Is Baxter your lackey, or is he yours? Thanks for entertaining the class every now and then even though sometimes your sense of humour is a little inappropriate. It was also very unexpected that you can actually mug... You and Vivyan are also quite similar in some ways...not sure where, it's just a feeling. Help me say Hi to the 3 prostitutes in your house. :)

Wang Duo
First Impression: Extrovert, pissed off easily
Last Impression: Philosophistic, Introvert

You are like a stranger to me , but judging from the 'chim' books you read, I think that you think uniquely. You also oddly remind me of one of my nerdy cousins...:)

Jin Zhao
First Impression: Clumsy, Shy
Last Impression: Genius

Other than your devastating power in Mathematical calculations, you also possess creativity and savvyness in using Adobe photoshop and Premiere, which helped alot in our PW film. Our group couldn't have done it wothout your editing skills. :) Miss Fang will miss you loads too. :)

Ren Jie
First Impression: Nerd
Last Impression: Slightly Clumsy, Nice Guy, Language-wise

I feel sorry for you for always being screamed at by Shi Yi relating to St John's matters. You may be careless at times, but your actions can be very adorable and amusing, which isn't a really bad thing. :) The NG scenes in your LA film are still very iconic of you. :) You are strong in areas of language too. :) Nice hairstyle by the way...

Chih Siong
First Impression: Nerd
Last Impression: Nerd but Charismatic

Shi Yi would to beg to differ regarding my last impression of you but hey, if you can attract her brother into idolising you and cause her to bother targeting you every now and then, you do have a whole lot of charisma. Besides being annoyingly smart and popular in class, you are also so far the only guy I know who actually brings a mirror to school. :)

Happy Halloween

Watching Destination Truth freaked me out. I should have never took Vivyan's advice at her blog...now I have the fear of going to the toilet alone at midnight and I do not dare to stare into any mirrors...

Ghosts do not exist...ghosts do not exist...

School is pretty slack now, with so many people playing card games (intellectual games) during certain lesson periods, even though HCL O'Level exam is just around the corner...

On the other hand, reading Reborn made me very happy - Mukuro is finally out of prison!!! <3 It's also great to see that Bayakuran is pissed off... Adios...

I'm also sad that the end of the year is coming I leaving 4K soon...cause my classmates are all kinda interesting and awesome people :)... shall do a post regarding every member of 4K (just some short statements for each classmate).

Aftermath

My dad is paying me 10 cents for every strand of white hair I pluck from his head. :)

Lol, I thought it was lame at first, but it's actually a neat deal, since that old man has plenty of them. Finding them is easy but it's really a chore to do the plucking, especially when the hair keeps slipping out from my butter-fingers. -.-

Exams are long over and I can't be bothered to do do any revision for HCL...because I have no idea how to and even if I did, I doubt it would enlighten me into scoring higher. The 3hour and 30mins long preparation classes for HCL are also not helping at all. They just dump some mock papers onto our desks and go through them later on. It's no different from daily work. It's good to have practice but then I prefer to have them teach us some techniques to conquer the exam instead of plain going-through. Oh well, whatever it is...there is probably nothing I can really do to pull up my crappy Chinese standard. All day long I'm just watching anime, plucking white hair and mousehunting on Facebook and reading manga, blog entries posted by other classmates.

It will be a miracle if I ever score an A1 for HCL O'Level.

I'm also looking forward to my Shanghai trip in November. :) I don't care if I gain 5kg in weight from eating all the good food there. :)

Memory & Data

I find it very ridiculous when scientists claim that the wondrous human brain practically remembers everything and has an infinite memory space...it clearly dosen't apply in my context...why do we have to do revision again and again though? Maybe the long lost petabytes of data we have accumulated over our schooling years lies within our brain's subconsciousness, but it's still seemingly useless if the majority of the human species rely more on conscious thought. Wish there was an easy way to reach that infinite limit of memory power...

Origins of H1N1

The dreaded influenza that killed off our level camp and many other events is already over, but I shall still post this for the sake of killing boredom:

H1N1 long existed millions of years ago in ancient Chinese history. At that time, the effects of the disease were more disastrous compared to that of today. Most people would prefer to die at the hands of swine flu than to exhibit its symptoms and live on with the deadly effects, for this was what happened to a pitiful man who was infected with swine flu at a time in his life:

*scroll on*

*scroll on further*

*just a bit further*

Symptoms/side effects of ancestal H1N1:
1)severe deformation of nose and mouth and oversized enlargement of ears; frequent squinting of pupils;
coil-like structure protuding from back posterior
2)rapid psychological stimulation of sexual excitement upon meeting people of opposite gender
3)Frequent increased hunger & appetide, making the victim more prone to obesity

The One & Only Cure:
Vigorous Exercise -- Go on a pilgrimage & travel a few hundred thousand miles on foot Westwards; fighting off demons that may pop up from the roadside would also serve as an excellent workout

Lol, Journey to the West isn't even part of Chinese histroy, just a fansical classic fortunately... :)
Bye for now...

The Japanese are wizards

Because anime, manga, sushi and robots are not enough to impress this world.
Nothing better to do than to post this. :P

No life

First they cancelled our level camp, now they cancelled our AYG opening ceremony celebration. Next week we'll also be having tests on Integration, Air and the Atmosphere, Comprehension and a Physics Pratical Test of doom. I lack interest in the topic of electricity and I possess butter fingers which are highly suitable for carrying our a flawful practical. I know that already screwed for this before even touching the practical paper.

That's it. I'm just a lifeless slave having a lifeless year in a very lifeless school in a lifeless society in this lifeless world.

Bernard Madoff sentenced to prison for 150 years

Full Article from Yahoo News:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090629/ap_on_bi_ge/us_madoff_scandal

I'm also not very familiar with American Law, but why didn't they just call it life-long imprisonment? He will just rot to death before even finishing his sentence. -.- Yes, everyone's angry at the Ponzi Scheme and saying that he deserves this life sentence, but I highly doubt that a 71-year old man is going to last for another 150 years, seriously, unless imprisonment in hell counts too.

"I will turn and face you. I am sorry. I know that dosen't help you." - Bernard Madoff (message to his victims, in court)

You are right, that so dosen't help to chill someone's anger, especially when you sound so calm in your apology.

The only thing that would make his victims forgive him would of course be payment in full, but sadly, all that's lost won't come back in this case. Prison life for over 100 years may as well be enough to serve him right, but I was considering caning to be a better alternative in satisfying victims'anger but then again, maybe not, since it sounds way too immoral to inflict any physical pain onto an old folk, even if he's a schemer.

[EDIT]: I forgot to add something, most of Madoff's assets will be seized by federal marshals to compensate victims, from their yatch to their mink coats...now it seems that NOT all that's lost won't come back after all.

Schools to re-open as scheduled despite H1N1

Full news coverage from CNA here:

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/437803/1/.html up

I was so disappointed when I read this damned article. It crushed all my hopes for a week of holidays school closure after June ends...

Obviously most students would love to have school closure due to personal reasons of sloth, but seriously, the higher authorities should consider re-opening schools at later dates because I desperately need extra time to complete my homework and also for the fun I've been missing out and because I don't want to see the teachers who have been the root of all our problems of stress and because I am not prepared for the next big marathon of tests and EOYs. due to the surging numbers of local infection cases. There are currently over 160 cases of H1N1 in S'pore and by the end of this week, it would most probably hit over 250. Schools would only help to facilitate the transmission of the virus at a more rapid pace when both students and staff congregate in the campus. It is inevitable that infection via cluster circulation would have a dramatic increase by then. Though it is true that death rate is low, this does not imply that life is then able to 'continue as normally as possible'. H1N1 is able to hinder people from leading a normal lifestyle due to its effects on health. It isn't just H1N1 actually. As long as you contract an illness, you would very unlikely be a productive individual. Now, the main problem is that more and more Singaporeans are being infected with the virus, which would in turn negatively affect S'pore's progress as a country if infection rate continues to rise over the next few months.

It is true that declaring school closure would result in a potential academic loss for schools to inflict pain on students to finish the syllabus on time, teaching and carrying out revision to prepare students for the EOYs. In my opinion, however, it is better to spare a week for quarantine purposes. The loss would be much greater by the time more of their students are infected by H1N1. This is not a light matter, really.

Awesome Doctor

Haha, found this ridiculously funny joke in SGForums. Enjoy! :)

Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?
A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise.Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer;that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster.Want to live longer? Take a nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficientmechanismof delivering vegetables to your system.. Need grain? Eat chicken.Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even moreof the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one.If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!! ..... Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil.In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger..You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: Are you crazy? HELLO Cocoa beans ! Another vegetable!!!It's the best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape!

Obviously anyone can tell that I've nothing better to post on my blog. Holidays have been long expected to be damned by the school. I've really nothing to look forward to except for longer hours of sleep and weekly manga chapters.

Turmoils have yet to end...

Rants again...(edited)

I feel weak, I feel tired.

I don't know why, why we are spending time in school learning things we will most probably forget years later... The so many tons of gigabytes worth of information the school forces into our heads and attempts to squeezes every ounce of our brain juice out over the years....what are they for? We really aren't learning because we so love to, but just for the sake of learning, passing the grade and getting to the next level. I wonder though, is our future job capabilities determined by our test grades?

I'm starting to hate DHS more and more for spaming our lives with tests every week. I hate it when the school goes by conventional wisdom-More practice, more tests, more homework makes a tudent better, smarter...when I don't feel that's the case.

Tomorrow is the long and deadly Day 2 with 3 periods of facing that teacher with bi-polar disorder (assumption) who said "I hate this class" directly in front of us and having to make us anxious and panic over her mood/temper every now and then.

(edit):
Then again, maybe I shouldn't be too emo all the time since it's unhealthy. Charmaine told me to be more positive...so...

For Bored People Again...

I have nothing better to do (though I am supposed to do revision for Bio Test and make an info sheet for ACE Test), so I'm posting random questions again. :)

1) What will you do if you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?
2)Who really took the bite out of the Apple logo?
3)How does Elmo hear? Elmo has no ears?
4)Shouldn't there be a shorter word for monosyllabic?
5)Why in a country with freedom of speech are there phone bills?
6)How can there be multiple "Final Fantasy"?
7)Why do phone companies give you a number to call if your phone doesn't work?
8.)Why do "slim chance" and "fat hope" have similar meanings?
9)Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?
10)Shakesphere:"All the world's a stage." If the entire world is a stage, so...then where is our audience sitting?

That is all for now! Happy pondering! I have to go prepare my ACE info-sheet.

Planet Earth

More than enough to make you a naturalist. :)

Sigh, maybe the reason why this video is so damn beautiful is because there aren't any humans inside. It's all just nature. Earth rocks so much without us, really.

Buried under a pile of assignments

Sighz...it's only Term 1 and there's already a massive load of hw blasted to us from dear school. Year 4 life is kinda sucky. Now I really wish that I can time-travel back to kindergarden where life is so much more peaceful. Now it's not just school that's gloomy. The outside world is dark and painful too. Reading any finance article in any news is enough to make a person lose his/her smile. All the teachers have been telling us that the world out there is hard and friggin competitive. Finance Lit teacher also showed the massive no. of job applications from people all over the world just to apply for one trainer post in his company. Bloody competition...

Sometimes the reason why I watch Anime is because I want imagine myself being in another world that is much happier and magical than this sulky one. Imagination > Reality. :)

The assignments/projects that I have to pwn for now:

1) Physics Mini Assignment
2) HCL Food Culture
3)Lang Arts Project Work Campaign Report
4) ACE Globalisation Group Work
5)E-Portfolio (Ms Har didn't even send me the docs to my DHS mail)

Wah, someone save me! 0.0 I shall go suffer happily for the next 2 weeks! :)

*Not in the right state of mind now*

Applecore <3

Damn. Renjie is so friggin funny and adorable when he acts as Ringo. Love the NG part where he holds his apple and is confused at what to do (and the ??? subtitles)!!! At least he's not as blur as me though. :) I NG like 10-over times in 1 scene. As quoted from Shi Yi, Ruonan does not even have to refer to script, she can just act naturally as Mama-san. Her seductive glare is just...scary. Wonder if Huang Ching was *0*.

Oh and Teo Ee, I've never seen you seen you looking so stressed and depressed. :)

Applecore is the most entertaining 3K-made film I watched so far. I love how Mdm Arfah lets us watch our classmates' film (Thanks!) instead of some TIME-mag rant that activates sleep. I can't wait to see the PRCs' film too though I think their story/plot basically revolves just around hostel life.

Sigh! It's just the first term but I'm already made depressed by the Himalayas full of tests and major assignments. Not sure if I'll even survive this year. Maybe I'll be buried in a pile of sh*t.

Going for NTU shoot on Tuesday, which means I'll have to skip school and then try very hard to catch up the next day. At least I don't have to run 2.4km for PE though. Muahaha! :D

Need luck very desperately for the NTU shoot. >.< Please give me some, people! :)

The Complainer

My dad is a total bi*ch when it comes to nagging.

Sigh why aren't I born immune to those priky, irritating waves of critism emitted by adults? I really want to talk back/argue with my parents but I can't, cause after all...they are still parents and I can't live without them - yet.

Poor us, our holiday will still be stressful with all the homework and upcoming tests.

Air Weapons Club Chalet

Chalet was full of slacking and dozing off but it was still fun. All of us were just watching movies (Death Note), playings cards, not just poker cards but tarot cards too. So it was just sleeping, playing cards, eating, watching, playing cards and sleeping again in a cycle. The only interesting thing was the BBQ-ing.

BBQ event was quite "epic":

This was how our bbq pit looked like:

We were bbg-ing on the floor cause apparently the chalet unit we booked didn't come with an actual bbq-pit (-_-") so we all sat on the floor and started making our fire by dumping all our charcoal and fire starters in 2 of the trays. All went well until we proceed to cook our food.

THIS WAS WHAT HAPPENED TO 4 OF THE FLOOR TILES UNDER THE TRAY:

For peeps' sake, what were we thinking? It was obvious that we weren't using our brains. It was either we lacked outdoor skills or we just couldn't be bothered to put something below the tray like a concrete slab as Wee Leng had suggested before we bbqed. I knew that shooting desentizes ppl to violence and even makes ppl commit violence but I didn't expect the skills we've obtained from our CCA-training could be applied so quickly and naturally in BBQing where we would create a little destruction quite unconsciously...

This was how it went before the destruction, when we were having a good time cooking:

Quite a number of us, including me, were sitting around our BBQ pit, cooking, flipping over some of the food and chatting -

"This chicken wing can liao?"

"Think so, but that one chao ta already"

"Just leave it there n see who wants to eat it"

"Somebody go put the nuggets on the wire mesh"

"Kay, pass me the tongs."

.....

.....

"Hey those tongs u're using, got use to 'kiap' the charcoal."

"Wha? Shit! I put dunno kiap how many nuggets already leh!?"

"Err...what now ah?"

BOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!!!!!

All of us jumped.

It took us a few seconds to recover from the sudden shock. We looked at what was once our BBQ pit. All of us were stunned, shell-shocked and awe-struck at the mini disaster we had made. For around thirty seconds, we couldn't utter a word and we looked at nothing but the pitifully damaged floor tiles. After an hour plus of cooking, those tiles under the tray couldn't withstand that heat and it expanded and then.....you know, the picture explains it all...

It was not just us who were staring at the floor tiles. Our neighbors beside and opposite our unit were drawn by the explosive sound and stared out of curiosity and shock too.

"Err...what now ah? REALLY!?"

We were screwed for certain, and the food that was cooked on that BBQ-pit that time of course could no longer be eaten. So we began clearing up the mess. A kind lady staying next door helped us to clean up a little mess and contributed to rebuilding the bbq-pit, and this time, the new pit was supported by two bricks below to avoid later damage. We then cooked the remaining food available. (Quite a good thing Samuel ordered a pretty large amount from the caterer) Now, we switched the chefs. Some of us who had cooked earlier on were too frightened to cook. A few had sustained some damages too, like Jing Ting and Felise who had burns. :( I was freaking lucky that I was wearing long pants so the BOOM didn't hurt my legs. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed ourselves, learned something from the BBQ and all was pretty well in the end.

Very "memorable" experience indeed.

There was supposed to be an Amazing Race but there were too little people. Only 3 Year 1s came and none of the Year 2s came. It was really sad. We Year 3s had planned this out and spent alot a time and effort on it. Some of us were really pissed when only 3 of the juniors attended. Seriously, we planned it all out for them and the Race was cancelled in the end. All our efforts were wasted, especially Audrey's. She took alot of time to plan out the games and cycled around Pasir Ris Park for a few times just to plan out the locations for the game stations. SIGHS.

Sad thing that my dad scolded me after I came back from chalet.

Random Thoughts To Ponder

Anime-ddiction

I'm now glued to Katekyo Hitman Reborn, and it's all thanks to Wan Ying. XD Since it's holiday period, I've been spending like 4-6 hours watching anime almost everyday. 0_0

This is the list of anime I'm currently chasing, and sad to say, I'm very proud of it. :P

Naruto
Bleach
Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Zero no Tsukaima
Kuroshitsuji
Rozen Maiden Overture
Elemental Gelade
Soul Eater
Yozakura Quartet
Gintama
Nabari no Ou
Monster
Wolf's rain
Shaman King
Hikaru No Go
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni
Get Backers
Shakugan no Shana

zzzz...I'll have to delete some from my list or I'll come back to school being very unaware of everything other than anime.

Finished Bio and HCL so far. Shall start on Maths soon...

Before I rush off to watch another episode of anime, here is a pic of characters from Katekyo Hitman Reborn:

The guy second from left is the damn cute main character and the infant next to him is his home tutor who's training him to be a mafia boss (Yes, an infant ). WanYing's hubby is the one just beside the white haired guy while Ying2's boyfriend is the guy wearing a black cloak and has a tiny yellow bird on the shoulders. :)
Hmm...that's all for now. See ya people next year and happy holidaying/homeworking. :)
